Meet Stephanie: A busy mum with a collection so big it needs its own book!

My name is Stephanie Hauser I live with my husband and our 5 children in Jyderup which is a small town in West Zealand. On a daily basis I work at a hospital as a service assistant in my free time I run and do strength training. The first time I saw a pair of Lola Ramona shoes was about 12 years ago when I went for a walk on the street in Copenhagen. There I saw a woman with the most beautiful shoes with striped heel. I instantly fell in love with those stripes and I found out that the brand on the shoes was Lola Ramona. However, it would be a few years before I got my first pair. But in 2009 when I had just had my first daughter, I got the first pair from my mother. A pair of winter boots with white pom poms on the back (I still have them by the way). To start with, it was the stripes and bows and the black / white / red shoes I loved the most. They remind me of Alice in Wonderland which is my favorite adventure… I love the universe in that tale. Over time, however, a number of other colors have appeared on the shoes in my collection. I wear a uniform at work and after work I usually jump in my training clothes. So when I finally put on my everyday clothes, i want there to be a bang! My clothes are usually very colorful and I love to stand out. Lola Ramona helps me with that. It is almost more the rule than the exception that my shoes are commented on. I also love the pin up and the rockabilly style. Lola Ramona also fits in perfectly here. My collection of Lola Ramona currently stands at 76 pairs of shoes and 13 bags. I don't not really have any favorites among my shoes, but the black Pippi (the one who later got the name Angie P) boot with red bow and striped heel, I often end up with when nothing else works. My husband thinks I'm a little crazy but can still understand my fascination (although he will not always admit it) He also has favorite among my shoes and for my birthday this year he had made a Lola Ramona love album. A photo album with my shoes and bags. The shoes are inserted at the front of the album and the bags are started from the back of the album. The message when I got the album was that when bags and shoes meet then its time to stop!.. There is fortunately plenty of space yet. --- We'll we may try to add a few pages into that book! Meet Michelle, a real Lola lover

Meet Michelle, a real Lola lover

My name is Michele, I´m 32 and live with my dog in a small village just outside Hobro, Denmark. I am a early retiree because of my Autism diagnosis and fibromyalgia. I love to go to flea markets and car shows. I have a vintage caravan named Betty and sometimes borrow my dads Corvette Stingray from 1972. The dream is to one day own my own vintage car. At the moment I have my eyes on a Ford Fairlane from 1956.   When you have autism it is quite normal to have special interests. For me it´s the vintage and rockabilly style, that including Lola Ramona.   Especially Lola Ramona has become more than just shoes and bags. It has become a hobby and a big passion of mine.   I immerse in the different style, the colours they are made in and where they can be bought. I probably know all the locations.   I almost daily check the website for news and other sites that sell Lola Ramona. I have bought from Great Britain, Germany, Finland and Sweden.   I bought my first pair of Lola Ramona in 2017 and after that there was no turning back. I am always on the lookout for new styles or a great bargain.   In 2018 I made a facebook group called Lola Ramona inspiration, because I needed a place to ask other Lola lovers about fit, the colour or just to talk about our newest purchases. We are almost at 500 members.   What I love about Lola Ramona is that they are all so colourful and different. When I am wearing my Lola Ramonas out on the town, I always get a compliment or a smile. Especially if it´s paired up with bright vintage clothes. Lola spreads joy! My absolute favorite style is June and the one with nude glitter takes the prize. To this day it is still the most beautiful shoe in my collection. The June style fits my foot perfectly, great heel height and I can walk in them for hours.   As an autistic individual you can easily be branded as weird. I have struggled to find my place and who I am. In the beginning I didn´t use my Lola Ramona shoes out of fear of what people would think. I always looked at their facebook group and website and dreamed of wearing them.  Lola has without a doubt taught me that it´s ok to stand out, to be different. I now wear my Lola Ramona shoes and bags whenever I am going somewhere.   The brand inspires me to try something new. If it may be a new colour, stripes or polkadots. I can just be me.   Thank you Lola Ramona.
Bibbi and Lola... a love affair.

Bibbi and Lola... a love affair.

My name is Bibbi, I’m 33 and I live with my boyfriend in Aarhus, DK. My life is revolves around music and the love of vinyls, vintage living and shoes. I work part time as a music teacher and fulltime as a singer/guitarist in the Danish country band “Bibbi & Snif”. It’s a blessing being able to be creative, writing songs and touring for a living. This year we will celebrate 18 years together on the road!! My family, friends and boyfriend are also in showbusiness, and this way of life has always been my “normal”. It's kinda like a family circus, I grew up being told that the most important thing in life is love and to be yourself. My Lola Story: It was fall 2009 and I was walking down “Strøget” in Copenhagen. Suddenly through a store-window I saw something I had never seen before. It was a pair of boots, that looked like the collar of a shirt when you folded the shaft down, with a chunky striped heel, and a red bow in front. I was in love! This was the first time I saw a pair of Lola Ramona shoes. I tried them on and instantly I didn’t want to take them off. I even remember sleeping with them on that night. Sometime later my dad gave me a present. It was another pair of Lolas, he didn’t know that I bought the boots, but he saw the brand and said "This is totally you, and I just needed to buy you a pair." It was a match made in shoe-heaven.Then all of a sudden, I was a Lola Girl forever, and the collection just keeps getting bigger and bigger. My collection is currently 57 pairs of shoes and 11 bags and on my “to-buy-list” I have 10 pairs more and 3 beautiful bags. I store them everywhere in my house. In our living room, on the wall and I even made an extra space on top of the wooden beams in the bedroom. When I go to bed they are the last thing I see and  first thing I wake up to in the morning. What can I say; “Lolas make me happy!” To choose a favorite, is almost impossible. No doubt that I’m a classic Lola girl. The old Angie P style is my forever go to, especially the black Angie Lush. For everyday use, my old worn out Elsie's still got it. I own both the leather and the suede ones and they just always fit the look. Then June came along and when the T-strap style with a bow in front was on the website, I ordered it in 3 different colors and I will wear them until the day they look too worn out. My all time favorite bag is Viola weekend it's perfect for gigs and teaching – you’ll be surprised how much you can put in that bag. My secret hope for the future is an even bigger bag, suitcase like. When considering what I love the most, I had to go a little bit deeper than just writing everything, even though that would also be the truth. The bows, the polkadots, the stripes, the color-combination, the fact that there is something for everyone, the quirkiness combined with vintage feminine style, the story behind the brand and the Red Shoe Movement are just some off the things that comes first to my mind, but…. for me Lola Ramona is more than a shoe-brand, it’s a part of me. It’s a part of how I present myself to the world, in private and on stage as a performer. I feel like I can express myself through the shoes and bags. I might sound a bit crazy, or shallow at least but that’s the thing I love about Lola. The second thing I love about Lola is the combination of comfort and design. My shoes and bags are not just showpieces, they are suppose to be used, and I use my shoes and bags everyday for every use. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store, walking down the school-halls to teach music or on stage as a performer you’ll find Lola on my feet. It’s the same with my Volvo Amazon (Classic car from 1968), it was made to be driven in and I drive it everyday. If you didn’t know, a classic car, a red lipstick and a pair of Lola is the most perfect combination you’ll ever come across. Finally I must admit I love the attention you get just by wearing a awesome pair of shoes. Lola Ramona for me symbolizes passion, creativity, self love and expression and that’s all I need!   Love Bibbi
Myzan Davidson a Lola Lover

Myzan Davidson a Lola Lover

Myzan in Elsie Swing My name is My, I'm 36 years old and I live in Partille, Sweden. It's right outside of Gothenburg. I live with my boyfriend and his 4.5 year old daughter. I work as a students assistant and on my free time I'm a burlesque dancer. I first came across the Lola Ramona brand on a 50s cruising get together in the summer of 2018 at the retailer 'Miss Custom'. I remember loving the shoes and bags at first sight. They looked so beautiful. I bought my first pair in the summer of 2019 at the 'Miss Custom' booth along with my first bag. Later that summer at another get together I bought two more pairs of shoes and another bag and then it escalated so now almost a year later I have 14 pairs of shoes (15 if you count the kids sneaker I bought for my stepdaughter), 13 bags and a wallet.   I just love the combination of black and white stripes and a little detail of red colour. But the bows.. It's not too cute, it's just right.. I just love the bows!  I love everything about the shoes and the bags, the design is awesome, I just can't get enough of them. The comfort and quality is amazing, I can walk in them for hours without feeling pain in my feet. Some of my favourite shoes  are the red Angie Heads Up. They are just so beautiful and really stand out from any other shoes.  My number two is Angie Wordly, so beautiful and a little more discreet, my number three favorite pair of shoes is the Chelsea black boots. They are comfortable and so beautiful.  My number one favorite bag is the Odette bag, the shape, the color and the originality of it is just amazing! I also love Stella Sweetheart bag with the red bow on it. It's perfect for a night out or when you don't need a big bag. It's just perfect when you just need your wallet, your phone and your lipstick.  Odette Face My other favorite bag is the white bum bag with black dots and a red bow.  The design is just amazing. I use it at work all the time, my glasses fit perfectly in the outer pocket and both my work phone and my personal phone fit inside the big pocket and there is still room for other things I might need during the day.  Like I said before I really love the black, white and red color combination and when I got my walk in closet a year and a half ago the color and theme of it was perfect. I should probably mention I also love the Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. That's why my walk-in-closet is named Myzans Wonderland, it's located in the basement of the house.    If I was to choose one brand for the rest of my life it would be Lola Ramona!! ❤ Love!  My The pictures of Myzan in the black and white striped dress is taken by  photographer Jana Mrázová, the other one is taken by Patrik Petroff.  YOu can check her out on instagram here: instagram.com/myzzzan/
